About the Products
Tunisian Crochet Woolies
I use the term woolies to identify pants (longies), capris, shorts (shorties), and soakers crocheted from wool yarn. Their main purpose is to act as a cover for cloth diapers that have no self contained moisture barrier like Polyurethane Laminate (PUL) or fleece.
For more information on how wool works as a cover please visit here.
Tunisian crochet is a form of crochet in that it uses a hook instead of needles. The stitch is formed in two passes instead of one. The first pass makes the vertical bars and the second makes the horizontal. This two pass process makes a fabric that looks woven when indeed it's crocheted. Tunisian requires more wool than knitting and the same if not more than standard crochet. Tunisian makes for a solid fabric with little to no gaps between stitches. All this means that the item you will receive is sturdy, thick and beautiful.
LWB Dishcloths
LWB dishcloths are made with the same thick and sturdy Tunisian crochet stitch but use 100% cotton yarn. The patterns and designs are made using a mixture of the Tunisian simple stitch, the Tunisian knit stitch, and the Tunisian purl stitch. The knit and purl stitch make the item look as if it were knitted but it will still have the sturdiness of crochet. The pictures in some of our dishcloths are made using a Tunisian intarsia technique so the dishcloth will keep a consistent thickness.
All ends are tied and the woven to ensure that they will not come loose after use. Though after washing a couple times you may find some tufts from the woven in ends please rest assured that they are securely fastened and the cloth will not just fall apart.

Cold Pressed Soaps by Lautzy Soaps
Lautzy Soaps is a work at home mom (WAHM) run business.
Lautzy Soaps are made from scratch, instead of using bases or mixes. The reason? First Lautzy Soaps has a desire to offer spa quality natural skin care products. The only way to know for sure that the best raw ingredients available are in their products, is if they put them there themselves. The next reason is their desire to live more natural lifestyles. It's the belief at Lautzy Soaps that nature provides wonderful ingredients to pamper and soothe your body and whenever possible, one should turn to nature first.
Finally, there is the absolute promise that all Lautzy Soap products are free of parabens, formaldehydes and mineral oil. These products have raised health concerns in the U.S. and abroad. Many are banned from skin care use by the European Union. This casts enough doubt for us to avoid use on our families, so we wouldn't use them on yours either.
